The third book in the series, nothing much to say other than the story got even better and I’m excited for the forthcoming fourth book. 😊

A man conjures fire in his hand, facing a swirling dark vortex with a glowing, menacing entity inside it. Text: 'ACTUS Return of the RUNEBOUND PROFESSOR 3'.
  • I was looking at the about page on the Porkbun website and started laughing when I noticed they have a “plant” on staff. 🌱

When Steve was a young sprout she longed for a day where lounging around in some office window sill was all she had to worry about. After spending a bit of time being sent from greenhouse to greenhouse she eventually found her spot in the Porkbun office.

As a plant Steve mostly just sits there and creates oxygen. She does enjoy a cool sip of water from time to time and listening to some good tunes but mostly she just photosynthesizes.

    Laughing so hard… 🀣

A pop-up window features a humorous staff profile named Steve, a plant, amidst other team members' photoss with professional titles.

The second in the series, it was just as good as the first, totally worth a read.

An illustrated man in a blue coat sits pensively below a fierce, spectral dragon-like creature. Text reads: 'ACTUS, Return of the RUNEBOUND PROFESSOR 2.'

Taken just a few days ago, I’d just flopped onto the bed after work, with my kindle in hand…when I heard a buzzing in my ear and something smacked my head. I looked around in bewilderment and saw this little fella right next to me on the bed. 😊

A cicada rests on a textured blue and white quilt near a window with a dark curtain. The website 'lostinhaste.com' is overlaid on the image.
  • Dear Microsoft,
If you’re going to override default behavior on a Mac in Teams (like taking away the spell-check functionality), please make sure “your version” works. I find it silly I have to type out message in notes to paste into Teams.

A red coffee bag labeled 'LION' rests on a countertop beside a Big Bang Theory (paper rocks lizard scissors Spock) themed mug and a blue box reading 'MAUNA LOA', all atop a kitchen counter. The URL 'lostinhaste.com' is overlaid at the bottom.

A grey, fluffy cat lounges on a checkered blue and white quilt, with a text overlay saying 'lostinhaste.com.'

Software companies don’t owe their users complete transparency, and it’s possible that there were extenuating circumstances in the transaction (from either side) that led to the lack of communication. But the inverse is also true: customers don’t owe software companies their loyalty.

Using this as a good opportunity to try a new (to me, at least) menu bar utility. 🀣

  • I was listening to the latest episode of the Core Intuition podcast and was delighted to hear Mars Edit now had the ability to set the categories for the Micropost functionality…so did it work? 😝
