Just realized the bank holding my mortgage has changed their customer portal (their term, not mine) for the third time since I became their customer. 😔 I’ll wager a cup of coffee they screwed up the migration of my user profile again, which means I have to call them. 😭 #FirstWorldProblems

Ah, nothing like password change / reset day…first you get to change it on your Mac and then your iPad and iPhone and other work machine…and then you get to change it in Teams and Outlook and all the other products. 🤣

Huge shout-out and Happy Birthday to my Dad, he turns 70 today. 🎂 If it wasn’t for him, I never would have made it through my early adolescence, nor would I have become a software engineer without his influence on my life. Love ya Pops. ❤️

Finally yanked out the GPU from my UnRaid server and set up Plex to use Intel Quick Sync; pleased with the results: far less power used and better transcoding performance. 📺🎬 I can now go to sleep a happy geek. 😴

So very tired of New Egg using my number to text me sale spam. Really wish it was possible to sue companies for using numbers given for 2FA to send sales crap. 😮💨 Solution: created a burner Google Voice number and now all that crap can go there. 🤣

As a grown-up Nintendo kid, I was worried about the new Super Mario Bros. Movie b/c those games, living up to that legacy is a huge task… That said, after watching it…wow, that movie is good. The music was absolutely fantastic, mixing themes from the games and the 80’s, it was prefect. 🎬

Not only did we loose all the refrigerated / frozen food in the house but the cat peed in the office… Oh, also, my oldest UPS finally kicked the bucket during the storms that knocked out the power. First days back from vacation are always the worst part about vacation. 🤣 #FirstWorldProblems

While on vacation, we lost power for two days; translation: all the food in our house is now bad. Just bought a giant battery for future outages, will add a solar panel down the road (this is the second time in six months we’ve lost power for an extended period of time). 🔌🪫

I really want to fix the ”networking setup” in the Airbnb; I opened up the cabinet, it was scorching in there. 😭
