๐ท April 2024 Micro.Blog photo challenge, Day 11: Sky
I always enjoy the window seat when traveling, as commonplace as flying has become, the ability to soar into the sky amazes me. (I took this photo on a trip across the pond to Europe a few years ago, we were flying into the night.) โ๏ธโ๏ธ๐ #mbapr

I commend these ISPs for accomplishing so difficult a task in the face of such adversity. The sheer impertinence of the government, expecting them to tell you what you get and how much it costs in advance of purchasing it.
Yea, sounds about rightโฆafter all, ISPs are among the most hated companies in โMurica. ๐คฃ

Finished reading: Resistance Above Magic 2 by B.T. Narro ๐
โ โ โโโThe second book in the series, it was good to see where the story went but the cliffhanger was rather annoying; I guess I’ll have to wait for the next book. ๐คฃ

There actually are some security implications to emulation; a malicious ROM can potentially exploit a hosting emulator. Emulation code needs to run very fast, so safety measures like bounds checks often don’t exist. In terms of code safety, emulators are some of the worst programs you can run.
The ability to play my NES / SNES / N64 games on my iPad, to go back to Symphony of the Night or Breath of Fire 3, that would be lovely but given the risks I have to wonder if Apple will really allow it. ๐ฎ

Schleswig-Holstein looks to succeed where Munich failed.
Itโs funny, I remember reading about Munichโs effort to move away from Windows back in the day; itโs funny how the more things change, the more they stay the same. ๐คฃ

๐ท April 2024 Micro.Blog photo challenge, Day 7: Well-Being
Drinking isn’t exactly great for the body but it is good for the well-being of the soul, especially when said drinks are 95 floors above the city and you’re on vacation. ๐ธ๐๏ธ #mbapr

Finished reading: Unexpected Healer by Jonathan Brooks ๐
โ โ โโโThis one randomly showed up as a suggested read on my Kindle and I decided to give it a shot. It was pretty one dimensional but highly entertaining…and it set the stage for an interesting series (if the author continues, of course).

What’s a caffeine addict to do when there isn’t any coffee in the house? They walk to the local ice cream parlor and get breakfast before the workday starts. ๐คฃ โ๏ธ๐ณ๐ฅฏ ๐ท
