Another one of those “free” books from Kindle Unlimited, I was pleasantly surprised by this one, it was a great read. I’m really starting to like the whole multiverse angle and the magic system is great.

An illustrated cover features a young person holding a book, surrounded by floating pages, with the title Bastard by Alexey Osadchuk and labeled as Last Life #1.

Finished reading: The Abjurer: Journals of Evander Tailor by Tobias Begley ๐Ÿ“š
    โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜†

The 3rd book in the series, this was a spell-binding page-turner; I couldn’t put it down. It’s so cool to see LGBTQ+ characters in a fantasy / magic world, young “me” would be amazed. ๐Ÿช„๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€โšง๏ธ

I guess I have to eat my words, I just downloaded Delta from the App Store on my lunch break. The on-screen controls aren’t great but I’m sure I have a bluetooth controller around here somewhere. ๐ŸŽฎ๐ŸŽ‰

๐Ÿ”— US drug shortages reach record high with 323 meds now in short supply | Ars Technica

ย In some cases, generic manufacturers lose money on the drugs, disincentivizing other players in the pharmaceutical industry from stepping in to bolster fragile supply chains. Several generic manufacturers have filed for bankruptcy recently.

I know a lot of folks will scream “commie” or “freedom” at this question but…why doesn’t the government just make generic drugs? If the goal is to save lives and businesses “have” to make money, just let the government do it. ๐Ÿค”

The third book of the series, this one also starts directly after the previous book…and we get even more backstory. ๐Ÿ˜„ I think this series is getting better with each book, I can’t wait for the fourth to publish. ๐Ÿ—ก๏ธ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

I kinda went on a bit of a reading binge over the past week, reading the initial six books of the Aegis of Merlin series. This was another one of those “Amazon recommends this” instances and I fell for it. That said, the books were highly addictive and I’m obviously going to keep reading them. ๐Ÿคญ
