What Movie?

I hadn’t been to see a movie in quite some time. At least a few months. So when MJ called today to see if I wanted to see one, I was pretty excited. Of course, that was under the assumption we’d actually watch the movie…which we didn’t.
I ended up wearing the new jeans I’d bought with Tammy and Marietta. I’m not one to be conceded (in fact, I’m usually putting myself down) but my a$$ has never looked so good in jeans before. Combining that with my new jacket, I actually felt confident. Of course, there is nothing like running late to ruin one’s confidence and that’s exactly what happened…
We decided to go to Applebees for a quick bite to eat. I’d forgotten there was some major sporting event going on, so it was a bit of a shock to hear a bunch of yelling the second we sat down in our booth… The food was good, as where the drinks but the best part of the entire night (at least up till that point) was when I was talking about our first date. I had mentioned I’d gotten on the phone right after our first kiss and when Tammy picked up the phone the first thing out of my mouth was that I’d had the best first kiss ever. He looked me right in the eye and told me he’d said the exact same thing to his friend…right after our first kiss!
After more talking (and more drinks) we realized what time it was, so we rushed off to the movie theater. Running late, we walked into the movie only to find five other people, all of them sitting in the front row. Beowulf turned out to be an animated movie and a bit too gory for the both of use, so we ended up whispering to each other; he’d never read the epic and since I had (back in high school) I ended up giving him some background information. I’m not sure what sparked it off, but one thing lead to another and we started kissing. I don’t know if the movie was any good, but I certainly enjoyed being in that theater!
We walked out and since the night was so warm, we ended up standing by our cars a bit and chatted. Intending to call it a night, we ended up kissing again and didn’t really stop until an hour and a half later. It was a bit funny because people were leaving the movies and walking by us but we didn’t care. All in all, it was the best second date I’ve ever been on!
