Too Many Offers

Next time I’ll complain I don’t have enough money! Then I’ll get more than I can handle! For those of you who need me to decode this statement, continue reading. For those of you who know what I’m talking about, move on with your life!
If anyone really reads these things, you may have noticed that a few posts ago I complained that I couldn’t find a job. Well, when it rains, it pours! I had an interview on Friday and they offered the job to me before the interview was over! However, there are a few catches… I don’t get paid enough and the job only lasts ten weeks! And there are no benefits.
Moving on to the next job, I had another interview today. I thought I completely blew it, but I heard back from the recruiter and she said the owner is on the fence about me. He wasn’t to sure about my technical skills, but what concerned him most was my fitting into his company. He’s very picky about that sort of thing… For example, he wanted to make sure if he threw a ball at me and it hit me in the head if I would get upset. OF COURSE I WOULD! Anyone in their right mind would! Despite this, I would really like working there! I’d learn more working there than I would at a big company in five years.
Of course, the only catch is that I don’t have the job… The owner is having me come in tomorrow at 10am to see (and these are his words, not mine) if I jive with his staff. As it turns out, during the interview he felt I was too proper. As If! Anyone who knows me would tell him that I’m the exact opposite!
So, on to opportunity number three and four. I have an actually face to face interview for a MS .NET job at CPI on Wednesday morning at 9 and then a phone interview with Reuters @ 1pm for a C++ position. The catch: I’m supposed to start working at Vandover on Thursday! *sigh* How do I manage to get into these pickles?
