Pleasantly Surprised

Getting up at 4am really isn’t a great thing as I found out this morning. Normally I’d never consider doing such a crazy thing, but I reasoned the earlier I got to work the sooner I’d get the project done. It was kind of nice not to deal with traffic and being the second one in the office (damn you Shaun) but I was tired the whole day (no matter how much caffeine I drank).
Despite my decision to think positive for this project, the day started poorly and got worse. I ended up getting completely frustrated with the easiest part of the whole thing and almost gave up and threw my hands in the air. …as if Kelly/Hans would let me… However, I stuck with it (even after realizing I was going to have to use the QuickPoll feature) and somehow managed to knock down half the pages! Granted the last page I’ll be doing is going to be the hardest (I’ve never worked with QuickPolls before) but I’ll cross that bridge when I get there tomorrow…
The sad/funny part about the whole day was when I asked Kelly about the flash content I was supposed to get from Creative. After consulting her inbox, she said probably by the end of tomorrow. Of course I panicked (which was sad b/c I’d been doing so well up till that point) and responded with something along the lines of I have one day to get the movies working??? As it turned out Kelly had neglected (and I can’t blame her at all b/c she is so insanely busy) to mention I have until Tuesday next week to finish… 
When all was said and done, I got two rather pleasant surprises at the end of the day. Not only do I have extra time to finish putting the ToughBag promotion into Dev, but I’m also proud of myself.
