Misty Morning

Today started off a little rocky… I was up on the phone till at least 1:15 (damn you Nick) so when I woke up, I was in a rather groggy state. Shower and shaving didn’t fix that, neither did the quick breakfast I snarfed down. Or hitting my knee in the stairwell as I tried to navigate my bike down the treacherous corridors. Or the a$$ who tailgated me from Hampton to the Stadium. However, the sight of city covered in mist did wake me up.
St. Louis was absolutely gorgeous today before the sun came out. Mist covered the tops of buildings, giving the city a fragile splendor. The fog brought to mind the illusion of cloud capped cities and memories of all the fantasy novels I’d read as a teenager. I wanted to pull off the road, step out of my car, and take in the beauty without any distractions.
