Lost In Haste

Well, it finally happened…  I’m waking up early to go to a job! :)  Tomorrow morning, at 6:45am I’ll hear the beautiful voice of Barbra blaring into my ear!  Of course, getting up that early is nuts for this job since it is right off Page Ave, but there is snow out and it would look bad if I showed up late on my first day!

You may be wondering why I’m taking this job since it pays so very little…  The answer is actually simple: I need the money and experience.  Insurance payments are draining me and it’s only a matter of time before car payments catch up with me… :(  Couple that with the lack of professional experience, and you have a no-win situation.

However, I can leave the job at any time.  The contract I signed today clearly states that the employer and/or the employee (me in this case) can terminate employment at any time for any reason.  So, if I get called back to CPI for a second interview and they offer me the job, I’m so out of there!

Oh yes, the other interviews…  Well, the asshole owner of the company I interviewed with on Monday canceled on my coming in to see how I interacted with his employees (so I got up at 8am for nothing!!!  The interview I had today at CPI went a heck of a lot better than I thought it would and the manager I would be working under if I got the job said he would probably have me back for the second interview.  That only leaves the phone interview at 1, which I totally tanked!  I did well on my knowledge of documentation, but my technical skill answers kind of sucked…
