Drop First, Then Shop

I can’t remember the last time I was that hammered. I didn’t do my usual pass out routine but there were some remarkable stunts. And a lot of stupidity…
The girls came over yesterday around seven-thirdlyish to hang out and drink the night away. We had planned on going to Blueberry Hill but waiting thirty minutes to get a table and then forty for food was simply out of the question. So instead we went for Mexican. Needless to say, it was quick and tasty.
After dinner in the Loop, the girls and I made a quick stop by the store for some treats and then the drinking began. We ended up playing with Tammy’s wooden drinking dice, so all three of us were toasted after the first hour. After a brief call from Nick (who actually yelled at me) I dove right back into my cup… I lost track of how much I drank but I do know there where three shots of jagermeister…
I woke up with the biggest headache of my life at around 6 with my keys still in my pocket from letting Beth and her boyfriend (they were up in St. Louis for a doctors appointment, so they’d stopped by to hang out a bit) out the door. After gulping down a mug of water, I passed right back out only to be woken up by MJ. Playing the role of a sweetheart, he called to make sure I was alright after my night of heavy drinking and to see if I wanted to go see a movie later. I had already planned on hanging out with another friend so we ended up planning for Sunday.
After getting of the phone with him, I suggested to Tammy we go shop for some clothes (I’d told her what I’d worn on our first date and she hit me) at the mall. She was pretty tired (we all where) but in the end the though of dressing me up was too great to resist and she relented. We agreed to meet in two hours at the Galleria,
I haven’t got clothes shopping on a Saturday in a very long time and after today, I remember why… It was almost wall to wall people! We wandered around various stores for a bit after making a quick run to the food court until we settled on Macy’s. I thought we were just going to get one winter coat and one pair of jeans but the girls ended up loading my arms with a pile of clothes higher than my head! That was the easy part…they insisted I try on different combinations of all the clothes…what a nightmare!
In the ended, they picked out a pair of jeans, two coats, and one teeshirt. As we were getting ready to leave, I noticed a pair of jeans that had we’d somehow missed, so I went back to try them on…and they were perfect! I walked out and look in the mirror…perfect! The girls agreed and the jeans where added into the pile. They cost way too much money but come on, how often do you find the perfect jeans?!
It was around this time I called MJ back; my other friend hadn’t called to let me know what we were doing, so I figured he didn’t really want to hang out. We decided to go out tonight rather than tomorrow, so Tammy basically dragged me to another store to find some more teeshirts to go with my already too expensive clothes… I know I should regret spending all that money (especially since I don’t have it) but in the end, it was worth it. My computer upgrades will just have to wait until next month…
