I always knew I could make editable food. Always. However, my friends didn’t believe me when I told them that… So, when I invited them over for a meal and movie, I think after agreeing to the whole deal, they made out their wills.
I ended up making a somewhat easy yet completely delicious chicken dish that I learned from my Grandma. Add garlic bread and salad, and you have yourself a meal! After swiping what I could find from my place, I traveled a whooping total of five minutes to the store to get some chicken and bread. Nothing else noteworthy happened at the store…except for this total cute guy in the check-out line…
I set up base at my Aunt’s house. She isn’t living there (long story) but had given me permission to do some cooking/drinking. Preparation was totally easy (despite my not cooking this dish in over a year and a half) and before I knew it, the food was ready. …If only the guests had been on time…
As it turned out, Tammy and Gorgeous were running a little late, so I just kept the food in a while longer without any ill effects. Sadly, it was just the three of us (Diane 1 had a date, Diane 2 had finals @ SEMO, and Colleen had finals @ MU to study for as well) but we managed to have a great time. Of course they gobbled up the food, leaving nothing behind except the plates. And No Food Poisoning!
Afterwards, we just sat about the living room. We were going to watch The Lakehouse (which is one of my favorite movies of all time) but I was just too lazy get off the couch and set up the DVD player. So instead we just talked. And talked and talked and talked. It was amazing.
…You know, one of these days I’m really going to have to start explanation my long stories…
