Crash of the iPod

Fair warring to those of you who read my blog, I might be sleepy/cranky tomorrow and you can blame Apple! I had originally planed on stopping by the Katie Trail on the way home from work to get some miles in before dark, but the tech gods had different plans for me. So there I was at work, minding my own business when my iPod went nuts! It stopped sending sound through the speakers (the last time that happened, a loud high-pitched sound eventually came out and caused my ears to ring for the rest of the day), so I did a reset. When everything was said and done, my music had vanished!
I had told myself that I would go bike even if I couldn’t have music, but the closer I got to home, the more I realized that I was just bull-$hiting myself… Since I bought my iPod, I’ve become accustomed to hearing my music 24/7 (yes, even in my dreams I’m seeing music these days), so going riding for an hour with nothing to distract me from my pain just wasn’t going to work. So, instead I went running, which of course was yet another one of my bad ideas! I ended up running harder than I usually do and cut it a little shorter. However, I ended up walking the same distance with my father (that’s so a story for another time).
So, right now I hurt. Translation: tomorrow at work I’ll be hurting, so if you catch me limping or sleeping in my chair, be nice and no old jokes!
P.S. - I just realized I turn 23 in less than three months! Wow, I geting old!
Any sympathy I had for you in your plight was quashed by that last sentence
