Busy Busy…Or So I Thought…

I can go about looking at this weekend in two different ways: it was fun or it totally sucked. Since I’m feeling especially lazy right now and very tired, I’m just going to stick with the <ul> format for now…
Good:
- Visited Cape
- On Friday I went down to see my old school and visit some people. Carol and I ended up at the Complex after a quick and easy dinner at Steak ‘N Shake (the standard of a college student). Of course we ran into someone I used to date. I thought it was going to be bad… Fortunately, there was absolutely no awkwardness (in fact, there was a ton of flirting) and the three of us had a really good time. :) I had a few drinks (stuck as the DD) but Carol got so incredibly wasted! She couldn’t even get off her chair when we left! Somehow I managed find her place and get Carol up the stairs to her room…
I woke up the next day with the biggest pain in my neck ever! I called Carol to see if she was alright but got her voice mail. Took a quick shower and then I met up with Sonya for an awesome brunch at Cracker Barrel. Oh Sweet Judy, the blueberry pancakes were utterly amazing! We talked for a while and chatted a little with Kirsten (who was working) and then I headed home.
- Grandma Time
- I spent the majority of today with my Grandma. We went down to the Gardens and spend a few hours wandering about. Everything was spectacular and the tulips were in bloom! It had been a while (as in two weeks) since we had been able to spend some time talking, so the morning and afternoon was perfect. I ended up taking about 250 pictures of the flowers and scenery. …Hopefully I’ll someday find a photo plug-in that I actually like and integrates with my blog so I can put my best pictures up for people to steal…
Bad:
- Driving Home
- I got almost no sleep after we left the Complex, so I was dead tired on the way home. I’m sure I fell alseep at some point on I55… Even opening the windows and turning up the The Cranberries as loud as mechanically possible, I still dozed most of the way home. I even missed the turn-off onto Page Ave and had to do a turn-around!
- Grandma’s Eye
- I found out yesterday that my Grandma has completely lost the vision in her left eye… She’s going to her doctor on Tuesday to get treatment, but the shots don’t always work… She still has her right eye but as hard as it is for me to acknowledge it, this is a sign of her age…
- Pissing Off Friends
- I was supposed to go out with some friends on Saturday night but things didn’t really work out according to plan… Tammy had an emergency at work, so Marriata called me to tell me they might not be going (Tammy was her ride). I called Diane and we decided to go even if they couldn’t. Well, Marriata (I know I’m not spelling that right so don’t kill me later) called back and said she hadn’t heard from Tammy. So I decided not to go after all (even after two naps I was exhausted) and when I called Diane to tell her this, she wasn’t they happiest of people…
- Drama
- So last night my former best friend (its a very very long story) got involved with the whole Diane thing and the drama just seemed to flow forth as if Mosses struck a rock… He said/typed some stuff and then I talked to Diane and the whole thing just blew out of proportion… I ended up thinking Diane was insanely pissed off with me, when in reality she was just a little angry that I canceled after saying I would still go out.
As if that wasn’t enough, more $hit was added to the pot today. The former best friend and I talked and at first everything was just peachy (don’t worry Shela, I won’t steal your word). Of course, things got crazy and he claimed that I turned our mutual friends (the Girls) against him and then called me a Drama Queen and a liar! Adding that to the fact that he was trying to drive a wedge between myself and Diane (although he said he was joking about the whole thing) and you can imagine how livid I am right now!
If we’re keeping a score/count, the weekend really did suck… ![]()
You weren’t kidding about being busy, were you!?!
